The first year of life is filled with extraordinary growth. From first smiles to first steps, infants are constantly absorbing information, building relationships, and discovering how their bodies and minds work. Choosing the right environment during this stage matters. At Natick Children’s House, families find a thoughtful, nurturing setting designed to support infants during one of the most important periods of development.
Natick Children’s House offers a dedicated Infant Program for babies ages 3 months to 15 months. During these early months, children experience rapid changes physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. They explore through touch, movement, sound, and sight. They begin forming meaningful attachments with trusted caregivers. They start developing independence in small but significant ways. Our program is intentionally created to support these milestones while honoring each child’s natural pace of growth.
Infants are naturally inquisitive. From the earliest days, they are motivated to observe, reach, grasp, roll, crawl, and communicate. Rather than relying on formal instruction, our teachers create a carefully prepared environment that invites discovery.
Materials are thoughtfully selected and arranged to encourage sensory exploration, motor development, and early communication. Every choice in the classroom is made with intention - taking into account each child’s interests, emerging skills, and unique personality.
Teachers closely observe the children throughout the day. These observations guide future planning, ensuring that experiences reflect what excites and engages each infant. This individualized approach helps babies feel confident, capable, and understood.
No two infants are alike - and neither are their schedules. At Natick Children’s House, we understand that babies develop and function on their own timelines. Feeding, sleeping, and activity needs vary from child to child.
Our caregivers work closely with families to maintain routines that align with each infant’s needs. Babies are fed according to parents’ preferences, and diapering is handled every two hours or as needed. This level of attentiveness ensures comfort, consistency, and strong communication between home and school. By honoring each child’s rhythm, we create an atmosphere where infants feel secure and supported.
The experiences infants have in their earliest months influence how they approach learning later in life. At Natick Children’s House, we focus on:
When infants feel safe and understood, they are more willing to explore and engage with the world around them. That confidence becomes the foundation for lifelong learning.
Choosing childcare for your infant is one of the most important decisions you will make. Natick Children’s House offers more than supervision - it provides a carefully prepared, nurturing environment where babies can grow, explore, and thrive at their own pace. Through individualized care, thoughtful planning, and close partnerships with families, we help lay the groundwork for healthy development during these critical early months.
